Rob Parker: “The only thing that is worse than the bad people who do things to other people, is when good people know what’s going on and turn away and don’t try and combat it.”

Listen to Chris Broussard and Rob Parker rip NBA star LeBron James after the Los Angeles Lakers forward, who has always doubled as one of the era’s most progressive sports advocates for the oppressed, went completely limp during an incredibly unexpected interview Tuesday that called out Rockets GM Daryl Morey for tweeting support for the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.

Rob and Chris detail why LeBron throwing Morey under the bus was such an awkward move from a renown social justice advocate who tweeted just year ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Check out the audio below as Rob and Chris compare the ghastly human rights violations going on in China to apartheid in South Africa, and say it’s time American corporations, athletes, and celebrities stop turning a blind eye on monstrosities going on in another country, and take a similar page from famed individuals in the 80’s and 90’s who used their platforms to publicly denounce South Africa and end up making a difference.
