Pete Rose Explains Why He Lied About Betting on Baseball

Listen to Pete Rose join The Odd Couple w/ Chris Broussard and Rob Parker to talk about why it him so long to finally admit he had bet on baseball, as Rose infamously denied his involvement in betting on games while he was still the manager of the Cincinnati Reds.

Despite the overwhelming evidence against him, Rose went decades sticking to his innocence before finally admitting it was all a sham LIVE on the nationally televised ABC News.

For his role in baseball's biggest sin Rose has long been denied entry into the sport's Hall of Fame, which has been one of the most polarizing talking points in baseball history as many believe Rose will be banned from the sport FOR LIFE.

Rose played in Major League Baseball for 24 seasons and set the all time hits record with 4,256. He won the Rookie of the Year in 1963, the Most Valuable Player Award in 1973, and was the leadoff hitter for the iconic Cincinnati 'Big Red Machine' who was the most dominant team of the 1970's.

Check out the interview below as Rose tells Rob and Chris why people need to look farther into his situation and take into account what was going on in his life during the notorious incident.
