NBA Considering Getting Rid of the Term 'Owner' Because of Ties to Slavery

Listen to Chris Broussard and Rob Parker discuss the recent news coming out of the NBA that has seen the league allegedly take notice of the semantics around the term ‘owner’ when it comes to its usage around franchise ownership.

The unusual controversy got legs when Draymond Green made an appearance on LeBron James’ ‘The Shop’ program and made the gripe that the league should outlaw the term ‘owner’ because of its racial connotations. LeBron himself once notably said that NFL owners have a ‘slave owner mentality.’
