Embattled NFL running back Kareem Hunt has been signed by the Cleveland Browns.
The team announced the signing today, after Hunt was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs in November after video surfaced of him allegedly shoving and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel last February.
Hunt was never arrested or faced any charges. Through the team, Hunt issued a statement and apologized for his actions, adding "what I did was wrong and inexcusable. "
Hunt is currently on the commissioner's exempt list, making him ineligible to play or practice. Before the Super Bowl, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is still investigating.
